Role Overview

Working for Leeds Beckett Student’s Union behind the bars is a fantastic job, a great opportunity to develop your character, meet new people and widen your skills. If it’s live music you like, events or general day to day excitement then you’re in the right place. The bars fall under the commercial side of the Students’ Union and help generate much-needed income to run its core services, they are a great central hub for meeting others and representing the face of the union. The role consists of serving soft drinks and alcoholic beverages behind the bar, serving Starbucks coffees, Frappuccinos and custom orders to a high standard, as well as washing up, taking meals to customers, stocking fridges, general housekeeping and manual handing. All of the above must be done to the highest of standards (friendly and proactive) and in line with the Mystery Shopper standards and expectations (full training provided).

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Leeds Beckett students to work within the Commercial team to provide an exceptional customer service to the valued customers of Leeds Beckett University and the wider audience. We are looking for candidates who are confident, a team player and willing to get involved to work towards the Union’s shared goal of ‘Making Students’ Lives Better’.

Interview/Recruitment Process

  • You must be available to attend a training day on 17 September 2021
  • You must be a Leeds Beckett student to apply.
  • You must be over 18 years of age to apply
  • Most shifts will take place during the day, however there will be opportunities to work evening events and gigs at points during the year.
