Role Overview

The Student Freshers & Events Assistant role is essential in helping the team to deliver and promote key events, activities and campaigns for its 24000+ members, innovatively and effectively, through excellent customer service and creative thinking. It’s also worth noting that the role can sometimes be physically demanding. The role will be supervised by the Event & Media Sales Coordinator, and will work on a variety of events and projects specifically Freshers, but with potential for additional work during Refreshers, Elections, Union Awards, the Union’s Give It A Go programme, and many, many more. 

There are a number of responsibilities for the role, primarily:

  • To help support the delivery of key Students’ Union events such as Freshers
  • To support the regular events programme should additional support be required
  • To work within other relevant departments to support the delivery of other events and campaigns
  • Be able to work as part of a team to support the Students’ Union and its activities
  • To act as an ambassador of the Students’ Union
  • To work in a manner that reflects the values of the organisation
  • This role may require manual handling/lifting

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Leeds Beckett students to work within the Events Team. We are looking for a candidate who is confident, a team player, and willing to get involved in all aspects of events.

You must be studying at Leeds Beckett University to apply for this role, and you must be able to commence work 20th September 2021.
