Student Trustee
To apply for this position, you must be a Leeds Beckett student between July 2026 and June 2027.
Remuneration: This is an unpaid, voluntary role.
Contract: Fixed Term, 1-2 years. This a part-time role which can be undertaken alongside your studies.
Location: Leeds Beckett Students’ Union, Portland Way, Leeds.
Application Closing Date: Wednesday 11 March, 9am
Interview Date: w/c 30 April, held online via MS Teams
Start Date: Successful candidates will be invited to observe the next Board of Trustees meeting, Tuesday 12 May 12 – 4pm, held in person on City Campus. This is not compulsory but is strongly encouraged.
Training and learning and development opportunities will be provided June – August. Please see the Student Trustee recruitment pack below for Board dates (may be subject to change).

Eligibility
We are happy to receive applications from all students; undergraduate, postgraduate, home, international, full-time or part-time. We aim to have diverse representation on our Board, and welcome applications from students who have lived experience of the issues the Union seeks to address. This includes not being disqualified under the automatic disqualification rules for charity trustees and senior management positions, as outlined by the Charity Commission here.
